The Turkish Competition Authority has imposed a fine of approximately 482 million lira ($14.85 million) on Google due to Google’s alleged failure to fulfill its obligation related to hotel searches as to how the search engine handles hotel search results. According to the authority, Google’s failure to address the competition authority’s concerns over fair competition with other local search engines gave rise to this fine.
