Google settles lawsuit involving Google+

Google has agreed to pay $350 million to settle dispute filed by its shareholders before the San Francisco Federal Court in the U.S., concerning a security flaw in its Google+, a social networking site, now defunct. The shareholders lawsuit had alleged that, as early as in 2018, Google was aware of a software glitch in Google+ which exposed users’ personal data for three years, meanwhile, Google was making claims regarding its dedication for data security. The $350 million settlement is awaiting approval by the Judge.
